Lessons
Skyrock Farm offers quality riding instruction to riders of all ages, six years
and older, and all levels, beginners to advanced. Our goal is to provide a fun,
safe environment while teaching students to ride hunt seat and jump. Students
develop a strong foundation of horsemanship with an emphasis on safety and good
sportsmanship.
Our instructors focus on riding fundamentals such as safely walking a horse,
trotting, cantering, tacking, and grooming, When each student is comfortable on
a horse, the student can learn to jump.
Jimmy Colburn
Nancy "Jimmy" Colburn has been teaching English riding and vaulting lessons at
Skyrock Farm for over 10 years.
She teaches students on Skyrock lesson horses that are safe and well trained.
Lessons are taught in small groups of one to four riders. Jimmy's motto is
“safety first.”
