I changed my mind, can I have a refund?
Sorry, the answer is no. And here's why:
Our fees cover your reservation for a lesson horse, the instructor's time, the horse's feed, bedding, farrier, vet care, and electricity/heat to keep the barn comfortable for the horses.
BUT you can use your credit towards another service, such as birthdays, camps, or donate to sponsor a horse!
Can I stay and watch the lesson?
Yes!
For indoor lessons we have a heated lounge with windows to see into the arena.
Please refrain from crowding the ingate and coaching your child.
For outdoor lessons we have a flagstone patio at the bottom of the hill, near the waterfall.
What do I wear to a riding lesson?
For your first ten lessons you may wear:
any stretchy pant, a boot with a small heel or sturdy tennis shoe,
and borrow a helmet from us.
Ideally: breeches, riding boots/half-chaps,
your own riding helmet, and gloves are prefered for lessons.
These can be purchased locally at the Dover store in Medina; (Amazon has these too, if you know your size!)
What does a lesson look like?
Each lesson starts with ground work.
Students are taught how to get their horse ready from the ground up: haltering, leading, grooming, tacking, adjusting stirrups and mounting. This means that for your 45-60min lesson, not all of it will be riding on the horse. As students become more proficient at ground work & horsemanship, they will get more time in the saddle, but in the beginning it takes a lot of work to learn how to get your horse ready for a ride.
What if I have to miss a lesson?
Text Hanna 763-742-0021 with a minimun 24hr notice
to avoid the late-cancel/no-show fee. Dont assume a lesson is canceled with the schools or because of the weather or a holiday.
We are a private facility withour own schedule.
All cancelations must be in writing via text to Hanna, 763-742-0021.
Must I have a recurring spot to purchase a lesson package?
Nope! Think of it like a punch-card.
If you have a recurring spot on the calendar, then a 10pk is required.
How do I know what lessons are open/available?
Text Hanna to check for any miscelanous openings we have in the schedule.
How long do I have to be in private lessons?
The answer is different for everyone. It varies dependingon age, ability, experience, and avaiability. Some riders only need a couple private lessons before we determine a semi-private or group would be a safe & appropriate next step. Some riders require years of weekly private lessons.
How often can I ride?
Ideally, 1-3 lessons per week.
Competative riders, 3x/week.
Fewer than 1x/wk or to schedule ad hoc, text Hanna to check for miscelanous openings in the calendar.
Will my lesson be caceled due to weather?
No.
Rain, shine, sleet, snow - we ride.
Beginner lessons will always be indoors.
Our indoor arena is heated, therefore we are able to teach year-round & in all types of weather.
(In the colder months, dress in layers. Please no mittens - riding gloves will do).
If you would like to cancel your lesson, please plan ahead.
24-hour cancelation policy applies.
When/How can I register for camp?
Registration opens January 1st.
Your conformatiomn email is attached to your reciept.
What do I need for a day at camp?

No cracks/clevege/belly-buttons please. NO OPEN-TOE SHOES.
A bag or backpack with nut free lunch, 2 snacks and water bottle. Shorts for after riding. Sunscreen, and a bathing suite and towel - on hot days we may get wet (slip-n-slide & water games)!
How long do campers get to ride?
Campers recieve one traditional riding lesson each day. Lessons are an hour and include groundwork. But the day is geared around horses: brushing them, bathing them, feeding them, observing them, learning basic horse anatomy, horse body language, terminology, and horsemanship.

What does a Skyrock Party look like??
You may arrive 15min early to set up. The building is locked before then.
Party guests will meet in our Grand Ballroom to start (remember this building is like a museum. Please enjoy the sights and sounds, but help us preserve our collection by not touching or sitting on displays). You will be greeted by one of our staff who will run the party with you. YOU are respinsible for supervising the children and montioring appropriate behaviors. For large parties we recommend having parent chaperones stay to help with this.
After the staff greeting, we will go to the horse barn to meet the horses/ponies and ride in the indoor arena (outdoors, weather permitting). Then we go down the hill for train rides (if applicable; no size or age limit)! After the train (or of no train) we go back in to the carousel/party building for carousel rides (100lb weight limit). After this, the time is yours for cake/ice cream, food, present, etc...
Plan on approx 2hrs for your party (give or take, depending on the size of you party and which package you booked).
